SOUTHWOOD

Southwood HOA hosted a Community Event at Paradise Park on Saturday, September 16, 2023. We had a terrific turnout with well over 100 people of all ages enjoying the afternoon!

 

At least a dozen Torrance Police officers stopped by and many stayed the whole time. The officers had fun playing games with the kids and talking to residents. When the Torrance Fire Department arrived, families quickly descended upon the fire engine and paramedic truck. Mayor George Chen, a resident of Southwood, also came by to chat with neighbors.

 

It was a pleasure watching parents and their kids try out the variety of carnival games and play equipment. Every child took home a prize and everyone who attended got a free ice cream bar to enjoy.
